1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ResuMagic ( www.resumagic.app), operated by Guochao Weng ("we", "us", "our"). By using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

2. Service description

ResuMagic is a self-service AI document editing tool. You upload your own resume and a job description; our software analyzes alignment and generates a tailored resume draft for download.

This is not human career consulting, employment placement, or guaranteed job-search advice.

3. What you receive

• Free: match score, preview of suggested changes, limited comparison view
• Paid ($5 per optimization): full optimized resume, complete change log, PDF and DOCX downloads

You may review the free preview before purchasing. Paid access unlocks the deliverables shown on the result page.

4. Pricing and payment

• Prices are shown in US dollars unless otherwise stated at checkout
• Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. Where applicable, the provider may act as Merchant of Record.
• We do not store your full card details on our servers

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Paid downloads are digital content delivered immediately after payment. Before checkout, you may be asked to confirm that you want immediate access and understand that refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy once paid content is unlocked or downloaded.

5. Your responsibilities

• You own or have the right to use the resume and job description you submit
• All information on your resume must be truthful — do not use the service to fabricate experience, employers, degrees, or skills
• You must review AI-generated output before submitting it to employers
• You will not use the service for unlawful purposes

6. AI-generated content

Output is produced by automated AI models. It may contain errors, omissions, or phrasing you should edit. We do not warrant that output is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular employer or ATS system.

7. No employment guarantees

We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, ATS acceptance, or any employment outcome. Match scores indicate resume–job-description alignment only, not hiring decisions.

8. Data retention

• Free preview: available for 24 hours after creation, then the optimization record is deleted
• Paid download: after payment, download access is extended to 7 days from the purchase date

9. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your resume content and the optimized output. We claim no rights to your materials. The ResuMagic name, website, and software remain our property.

10. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost job opportunities, arising from use of the service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
